The first documents that recount the history of the Domain date July 1864. Since then, 5 generations succeeded on the estate and made it one of the biggest vineyard producing Muscadet Côtes de GrandLieu.
In 1935, the estate specialised exclusively in wine growing and began the purchase of some of the most beautiful single vineyards of the area :
  • Le Clos de la Sénaigerie : 1970
  • Le Clos de la Fine : 1980
  • Le Prieuré de la Fine : 1980
  • Le Clos de la Bertetteries : 1985
  • Le Clos de Launay : 1990
  • Fief Guérin : 1998
  • Le Fief du Chant Baron : 1998

Finally, for about 15 years the Domaine des Herbauges committed itself to re-planting, to improve the quality of its wines.

Pursuing the same aim, our team diversified and specialised in each step of the wine making proces.
